Ladytron are a contemporary electropopband from , England. The band takes their name from the song "Ladytron" on the 1972 self-titled debut album of the band Roxy Music. Music journalists have classified Ladytron as electroclash, and as is typical for that genre, live performances include live guitar by Daniel Hunt, a drummer (Keith York) and a bassist (Andrea) along with the electronics. Although they consider themselves in a recent interview as "Electronica with a fist". Despite their classification, they are notable for not using sampling on their records or in their shows, instead playing everything live using synthesizers.
